Accredited dose measurements using alanine and film dosimetry for gamma, e-beam and X-ray
Risø High Dose Reference Laboratory (Risø HDRL) is a part of the DTU Dosimetry Reference Laboratory at DTU Health Tech, providing DS/EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited industrial dosimetry services. The laboratory is accredited by the Danish Accreditation and Metrology Fund (DANAK), with calibration and measurement capabilities (CMC) listed in the DANAK database (accreditation registration no. 266). Dose measurements and calibrations are traceable to NPL (UK).
The performed dosimetry services are in support of the radiation processing industry in Denmark and internationally, with a particular focus on the medical device industry that sterilizes products using radiation. Our services support process validation, qualification and routine control.
We perform high accuracy absorbed dose measurements using alanine dosimetry and radiochromic film dosimetry for dosimeters irradiated either in our own Co-60 gamma facilities or at the customer’s site using gamma, electron beam or X-ray.
