Software developed by Risø HDRL for use in radiation processing

  • RisøScan

RisøScan 1.03 is a specialized software package designed for analyzing dose distributions using visibly colored dosimeter films such as FarWest, GAF, and Risø B3 dosimeters. By scanning the dosimeters on a flatbed scanner, the software extracts dose information from the image, enabling precise evaluation of radiation exposure.

RisøScan is widely used for dose mapping and energy determination of high-energy electron beams based on depth-dose curves. To ensure measurement accuracy, scanner stability is verified using a reference tablet, providing consistent and reliable dosimetric data.

  • Caldose

CalDose 2.10 Beta is a software solution developed by Risø HDRL for calculating the absorbed dose in Risø calorimeters based on resistance measurements taken before and after irradiation. It provides a reliable and efficient tool for dosimetry in radiation processing applications.

This beta version is fully functional, with the exception of the help function, and has been validated in accordance with FDA guidelines (Title 21 CFR §820). For details on validation, refer to the User Manual.

CalDose 2.10 Beta is available free of charge, supporting accurate and accessible calorimetric dose measurements for irradiation facilities.
